Types of Shutters

Did you know that there are many different types of plantation shutters? There are three primary types of shutters: PVC, Vinyl and Wood. We will explain the difference between the three main types of shutters in great depth in the below pages of this section. Plantation shutters can be made to fit most openings; do you have a particular window in mind you want covered? Due to the solid nature of shutters there are no limits to the configuration, shape and size of a shutter. Each type of shutter has different benefits for different configurations.

One of the greatest benefits of plantation shutters are the many options you can choose when ordering custom shutters for your home. There are many options to select when ordering such as louver size, standard tilt, or hidden tilt and the frame type. What if my window is arched at the top? Many other types of window coverings are limited in their ability to properly cover an arch or specialty shaped shutters. Plantation shutters can be done in arch form, primarily know as Half Round Arches or Eyebrow arches.

Shutters come in many forms, from standard window shutters to sliding glass door shutters and many in-between. We build them all. Every detail is important when choosing new plantation shutters for your home. We want to make sure you are given every option possible to complete your perfect plantation shutter. We are here to help your vision for your home become a reality.
