One of our strong suites is the paint method we use for our plantation shutters. We use pre-painted polysynthetic components when we assemble our shutters here in South Florida. The interior of the shutter parts is colored to best match the painted surface. Why are pre-painted components so important? The most important reason is for consistency of color as well as the over all fit and finish of the surface. Our method involves painting the components one at a time by an assembly line machine to ensure quality and consistency. Next, each particular painted part makes their way into an specialty oven operated at 140 degrees to create a beautiful yet durable baked on finish that will never chip, fade, or yellow. After the parts have been cooled, a protective film wrap is placed on the exterior of the parts. Once the entire shutter is cut and assembled, the protective film is removed before the installation of shutters in your home. Pre-painted shutters have many advantages over shutters that are painted afterwards. Painting after a shutter has been assembled means there can be runs, inconsistencies, and in the picture above, an area that will never be painted. Over all, we are firm believers in painting before assembly.
