French Door Shutters are mounted to the doors themselves, adhering to the door to essentially become one moving piece once mounted. The shutters are mounted to the door typically using special installation screws. French Door shutters do add privacy to the glass opening while allowing the perfect amount of light in where needed. Sliding glass door shutters are a popular option for any glass door. We call this system a by-pass. By installing a track system around the top of the window this allows shutter panels to move back in forth on the track system, bypassing each other. Bypass shutters can be preferred over verticals, roller shades or any other soft window treat due to the fact they will last a lifetime and provide the proper amount of privacy.
