Shutter Frames in Bonita Springs

We offer 4 different types of Z frames and 3 types of “L” frames to accommodate our shutters. Our most desired frames are the Large Decorative Z and our Casement Z, designed after a popular baseboard, which has become a staple design in many homes. The purpose behind the design of the Casement frame is to keep the trim consistent through out the entire home, matching the trim on your shutters to the base boards and door casings. We also offer the Small Z frame, a simple square faced frame with a small decorative bead on the edge. Lastly our last Z frame option is our, Bullnose Z frame. The Bullnose Z frame has flat front face with a rounded edge makes for a simple yet elegant design.

What’s the main difference between a Z frame and an L frame? Our Z frames are built with purpose and function for you home. Z frames are decorative and also provide proper function for a well fitting inside mount installation. The Z frame by nature sets inside the window for a proper inside mount installation, part of the “Z” frame installs on the inside of the window jamb while the other part wraps around the front edge of the drywall, leaving a decorative trim to incase your entire window. Imagine your windows being cased out with beautiful decorative trim! What’s the main purpose of the “L” frame? Most of the time, L frames are used for an Outside mount. Perhaps the depth of the window opening is too shallow to install a proper Z frame so an “L” frame would be better suited for this particular window. Which frame would be best suited for the use in your home?

Many factors go into this decision based on how much depth do you have in your window jamb or perhaps you might have an existing window trim casing currently in place. Do you have crank window handles that would prohibit an inside mount installation? There are many variables that go into factoring with Z frame or L frame to use. Our certified dealers will help you .
